제천 Jecheon will be hosting its own music & film festival this August 13th. Having quickly skimmed the .zip schedule on the event website, it's good to see they're showing the wonderful La Antena, or The Aerial, a 2007 ode to B&W silent movies and German expressionism, set in a future where no-one has a voice, speech taken by dictatorship.
The Buyeo Seodong Lotus Festival (July 10th - July 19th) seems worth a trip before then, along with the previously mentioned Pucheon Film Festival.
